ICFP 2025 Location Decision Announcement & National Steering Committee Introduction

The 2025 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) International Steering Committee (ISC) was thrilled to host the first official ICFP 2025 ISC meeting on Thursday, 21 March 2024.
This widely-attended meeting featured discussions on the decision to bring the seventh ICFP to Bogotá, Colombia from 3 to 6 November 2025—the first time the conference will ever be hosted in Latin America.
ICFP 2025 co-hosts, the William H. Gates Sr. Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, the Government of Colombia, Profamilia, and Fundación Valle del Lili, re-introduced themselves to the community and talked about some of their plans and excitement for the upcoming conference. They discussed Colombia’s progress and goals in family planning and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
Additionally, the ISC covered some of the many activities taking place in the lead up to ICFP, as well as a timeline of important dates to know regarding major conference elements (award application launches, abstract submission deadlines, registration, etc.).
