Funmilola (Funmi) OlaOlorun is a Community Health Physician with a PhD in Public Health from the Department of Population, Family and Reproductive Health at Johns Hopkins University (2013). She teaches and supervises research projects of medical and postgraduate public health students in her current role in the Reproductive and Family Health Unit of the Department of Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. Her research is focused on women’s health across the life course. More specifically, she has conducted research in Nigeria in areas such as family planning, fertility desires, household decision-making, professional support for breastfeeding, abortion measurement, intimate partner violence, and menopause. Funmi has served as Principal Investigator, co-principal investigator and investigator in many internationally funded studies. She served as a co-chair of the 2022 ICFP and has attended five of the six ICFP convening.
