Clive M. Mutunga

Clive Mutunga is the Project Director of the USAID-funded BUILD project at the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), where he provides strategic direction and oversight to ensure the global cross-sectoral project delivers technically sound and high-quality results efficiently, promptly, and cost-effectively. Before joining AFIDEP, Clive was the Senior Population, Environment, and Development (PED) Technical Advisor at USAID’s Office of Population and Reproductive Health (PRH) in Washington DC, where he served as a technical leader in the elevation and advancement of the linkages between population, health, environment, and development. Trained in economics with specialization in environment and natural resource economics at the University of Nairobi and the University of Pretoria, Clive has worked for government, non-government and private consulting sectors in Africa and in the U.S.
