Hosted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health, the Demographic Dividend Initiative, and the International Conference on Family Planning, the new DD Luminaries Event Series intends to highlight exceptional work that has expanded our understanding of the DD. This inaugural session will feature the work conducted by the economist and early pioneer of DD research David Canning, who coined the term “demographic dividend” along with fellow Harvard economist David Bloom.
Join us for a conversation with Dr. Canning on the history and future of DD work, including discussions on fertility rates, population structures, economic development, and more. There will be a live Q&A during the event. Please register to attend.
