Together, we will strengthen collaboration across the sectors in which we work, in order to support essential SRHR interventions, such as comprehensive sexuality education; counseling and services for a range of modern contraceptives; antenatal, childbirth and postnatal care; safe abortion services and treatment of complications of unsafe abortion; prevention and treatment of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections; prevention, detection, immediate services, and referrals for cases of sexual and gender-based violence, prevention, detection and management of reproductive cancers, especially cervical cancer; information, counseling and services for subfertility and infertility; and information, counseling and services for sexual health and well-being, while centering marginalized communities and working to achieve universal health coverage by 2030. (Guttmacher-Lancet Commission integrated definition on SRHR).
We further commit to nurturing intergenerational dialogue, both online and in person, to build a shared understanding and a unified rallying point for action. We recognize that the preparation and empowerment of the next generation of leaders is essential to our collective success.
We will work as a unified coalition across global moments and movements through sustained, intergenerational, cross-sectoral collaboration in the following ways:
- Cross-sectoral networking and brainstorming sessions to identify and align our shared collective priorities
- Promotion and broad dissemination of evidence, advocacy efforts, best practices, virtual and in-person events and campaigns across each coalition sector
- Cross-community capacity strengthening efforts, including leadership and advocacy trainings and community consultations
- Meaningful engagement, resourcing, and inclusion of youth at every stage of this collective movement
- Development of impact-driven initiatives to address identified priorities, including clear monitoring and evaluation and learning mechanisms, (e.g., countering mis- and /dis-information campaigns, priority-focused webinars, media labs, and advocacy trainings.)
Advancing SRHR is not only a health and rights imperative but rather it is “a state of physical, emotional, mental and social well-being in relation to all aspects of sexuality and reproduction, not merely the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity.” (Guttmacher-Lancet Commission integrated definition on SRHR). It is a powerful catalyst for accelerating progress across the broader Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) goals and targets.
We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to advance SRHR without compromise—to confront and resist any effort to erode these rights, and to mobilize the financing, political will, and accountability needed to transform commitments into real, measurable impact. This work must be grounded in robust policies and legal frameworks that safeguard SRHR and ensure their full realization for all people.
The progress we seek cannot rest solely on the shoulders of those already engaged in this work. Lasting change will require new government leaders, emerging advocates, donors, and allies to join this collective mission with equal resolve. Meaningful gains will depend on sustained financing, courageous political leadership, steadfast defense of human rights everywhere, and an unwavering commitment to equity and justice.
We therefore issue the following call to action
To Governments:
Increase and prioritize domestic financing for SRHR, including family planning–even in times of fiscal constraint–as a critical investment in health, stability, human capital, and economic growth. Strengthen domestic resource mobilization to expand sustainable, country-led funding. Invest in strong data systems, acknowledge varied levels of development, and harness digital innovation to expand access, strengthen service delivery, and enhance accountability.
To Donors and Development Partners:
Commit to long-term, predictable, and flexible funding that reinforces national systems, aligns with country priorities, and strengthens local leadership, including youth-led and community-based organizations.
To Policymakers:
Safeguard SRHR commitments, including family planning; reject efforts that restrict access or undermine bodily autonomy; champion policies that expand rights-based services; strengthen health systems; and ensure equitable access for all.
To Advocates and Civil Society:
Break out of silos and work across sectors and movements that amplify our collective voice to elevate the essential links between SRHR, gender equality and equity, women’s health, climate resilience, education, and inclusive development to mobilize broader political, private sector, and public support.
The energy ignited across the Stronger Together Coalition partnership demonstrates the power of collective action grounded in shared purpose. We will now carry forward our individual missions as one unified global movement—determined, connected, and relentless in transforming commitments into measurable impact. With sustained financing, bold political leadership, and human rights at the center of every policy and program, we can secure a future where access, autonomy, and choice are guaranteed for generations to come.
