Ipas Development Foundation (IDF) works to eliminate barriers to sexual and reproductive health and rights in India with a focus on enhancing access to safe abortion and choice-based contraception.

Working in India since 2001 in collaboration with the federal and state governments, we center our work on the needs and perspectives of women and girls, and take a comprehensive approach to address multiple factors to nurture a sustainable SRH ecosystem – individual health, knowledge, social and community support, trained health workforce, government ownership and supportive laws. Each year, IDF’s interventions improve the lives of 400,000 women and girls.

The ecosystem framework approach recognizes that sustainable healthcare must be driven by local stakeholders and address multiple components to truly meet women’s and girls’ SRH needs.
