Transportation

Arriving in Bogotá (31 October – 3 November until 12:00 pm)
  • ICFP 2025 is providing free transportation from El Dorado International Airport to official ICFP hotels on the dates specified above.
  • If you arrive on an international flight, once you have collected your luggage and passed through customs, follow the conference signage to the ICFP waiting room. From there, logistics personnel will guide you to the buses located near the elevators or escalators in Terminal 1.
  • It is essential that your travel itinerary has been completed in Dryfta.

    • Morning: 6:00 am – 9:00 am
    • Evening: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Transportation & Travel Update for Delegates

In just a few days, the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) 2025 kicks off in Bogotá! To help delegates arrive smoothly, the ICFP Secretariat is finalizing transportation routes between official hotels and the Agora Bogotá Convention Center. Free airport transfers will be available October 31–November 3, with ICFP staff in red shirts ready to assist at El Dorado International Airport. Complimentary daily shuttles between official hotels and the Agora will run November 3–6, and return transfers to the airport will operate November 6–7. Delegates are encouraged to review and update their travel details under the “My Profile” tab in their ICFP account to ensure accurate transportation arrangements. We can’t wait to welcome you to Bogotá for #ICFP2025 — a global gathering of learning, sharing, and connection in the heart of Latin America.

ICFP 2025 will be held at the Ágora Bogotá Convention Center, a modern, state-of-the-art facility located in the Teusaquillo district—Bogotá’s leading convention hub. Spanning approximately 65,000 m² over five floors, the venue features a main hall seating up to 4,000 guests, multipurpose rooms, and ample exhibition, lobby, and terrace space.

Designed for full accessibility with ramps, elevators, wide corridors, and accessible restrooms, the Ágora also reflects ICFP’s values through its commitment to sustainability and technological excellence, with an environmentally friendly design focused on green building principles, natural ventilation for cooling and heating, and rainwater collection for reuse.

The venue is located at Calle 24 #38-47, about 9 km (20 minutes by car) from El Dorado International Airport (BOG). The nearest TransMilenio station is Corferias, and several SITP bus routes run nearby along Avenida Las Américas and Avenida La Esperanza.

Most ICFP 2025 attendees will likely arrive through El Dorado International Airport (BOG), located just 9.1 kilometers / 5.6 miles (~20 minute drive) from the Ágora Bogotá Convention Center. With direct connections to major cities worldwide, BOG is the most convenient airport for traveling to the conference.

ICFP will provide shuttle services for guests staying at the hotels listed below. The shuttle route will run: Airport → Hotel → Conference → Hotel → Airport (More information on conference shuttles will be available soon).

Bogotá’s high elevation—2,640 meters / 8,660 feet above sea level—gives the city a mild climate year-round. Please be aware of the altitude before you travel, as it may affect how your body adjusts upon arrival.

In November, you can expect cool temperatures and occasional rain.

Dressing for the Weather: The ICFP 2025 Secretariat recommends attendees pack layered clothing (long sleeves and a light sweater or coat) plus a compact umbrella or waterproof jacket.

Vaccinations and Precautions

Vaccination requirements vary based on your travel history, including your country of departure, layovers, and destinations within Colombia.

Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for all travelers entering certain areas outside of Bogotá. With an increase in cases in recent years, it’s important to review these requirements before your trip. Additional recommended—but not required—vaccines include Hepatitis A and Typhoid.

For travel to certain areas outside of Bogotá, particularly rainforest areas, malaria prevention medication and protective measures like insect repellent and mosquito nets are also advised.
