Meet the Daily Hosts Bringing ICFP 2025 to Life

Oct 29, 2025

As the countdown to ICFP 2025 continues, we are thrilled to introduce the four incredible Daily Hosts who will guide delegates through the conference each day in Bogotá, Colombia (November 3–6, 2025).

Each Daily Host will bring their own voice, energy, and expertise to the plenary stage — anchoring daily programming, leading conversations, and helping to spotlight the people and ideas shaping the future of family planning and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

From seasoned journalists to global advocates and youth leaders, these dynamic hosts reflect the diversity, creativity, and power of our movement.

🇨🇴 Claudia Palacios — Journalist, Author, and Advocate (Colombia)

An award-winning Colombian journalist, author, and women’s rights advocate, Claudia Palacios has spent more than two decades amplifying issues of gender, equality, and social justice across Latin America.

As one of ICFP 2025’s Daily Hosts, Claudia will help bring global and local perspectives together from Bogotá’s main stage — connecting delegates to the heart of Latin America’s SRHR movement.

🇿🇦 Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng — United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health (South Africa)

Known globally for her work advancing human rights and health equity, Dr. Tlaleng Mofokeng (“Dr. T”) brings her powerful voice as a medical doctor, author, and advocate for sexual and reproductive justice.

As a Daily Host, she will lead conversations that challenge the status quo and remind us that bodily autonomy and reproductive rights are central to global justice.

🇰🇪 Mercy Juma — Award-Winning Journalist and Storyteller (Kenya)

Mercy Juma, celebrated for her groundbreaking reporting with BBC Africa, is one of Africa’s leading voices in health and human-interest storytelling. Her commitment to telling real stories behind the data embodies ICFP’s vision of community-driven impact.

As a Daily Host, Mercy will bring powerful human narratives and solutions-focused journalism to the global SRHR conversation.

🇬🇹 Natalia de León Tello — Youth Advocate and Communications Leader (Guatemala)

A rising voice in Latin America’s youth and SRHR advocacy community, Natalia de León Tello is a communications and youth engagement leader with FP2030’s Latin America and Caribbean Regional Hub.

As a Daily Host, Natalia will elevate youth perspectives and ensure that the next generation’s vision for equality, innovation, and rights is front and center in Bogotá.

💡 What Does It Mean to Be a Daily Host?

Each Daily Host serves as the public face of ICFP 2025 for an entire day — leading the plenary sessions, joining the ICFP LIVE Stage, and connecting with delegates across the Family Planning News Network (FPNN) Media Lab.

They’ll also record daily video recaps, moderate live conversations, and engage with 50+ international journalists participating in the ICFP Media Fellows Program, ensuring that the stories and solutions shared in Bogotá reach global audiences.
