Equity Through Access: Creating Inclusive Events That Leave No One Behind

Jul 15, 2025

Tuesday, 12 August 2025

9:00–10:00 AM ET

As the ICFP community continues to collaborate both online and in person in preparation for the upcoming ICFP, our events must reflect the full diversity of our community.

This includes ensuring that persons with disabilities are fully able to participate and engage. This webinar, hosted by the ICFP Program Implementation Subcommittee, will provide participants with practical tools, guidance, and key considerations for planning inclusive events—whether virtual or in-person. Participants will learn how to create spaces that are accessible, respectful, and empowering for all. From venue setup to virtual platforms, language access to assistive technology, we’ll explore how to host events that leave no one behind.

Who Should Attend:

Event organizers, program managers, subcommittee leads, and all members of the ICFP community involved in planning or hosting meetings, workshops, or side events.

Together, we can create a more inclusive ICFP experience, one where every voice is heard and every participant is valued. Whether you’re planning a small meeting or a large-scale event, this webinar will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to make inclusion a core part of your approach. Join us on August 12th to take a meaningful step toward ensuring that no one is left behind
