FPNN Amplifies Voices at NFPC 2024 on the Road to Bogotá

Dec 3, 2024

As we journey toward the 2025 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) in Bogotá, Colombia, the Family Planning News Network (FPNN) is playing a pivotal role in amplifying key voices and stories at the 8th Nigeria Family Planning Conference (NFPC 2024).

Held in Abuja from December 4–6, NFPC 2024 gathers over 1,000 participants for three days of expert discourse and dialogue on the theme of Sustaining Commitments for Family Planning within the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative; Advancing Progress Toward Achieving FP2030 Goals.

Supporting Community Reporting for FP2030

FPNN is proud to support three dynamic community reporters whose diverse perspectives capture the spirit and impact of the conference:

  • Esenam Amuzu, FPNN Trailblazer and advocate for reproductive health and youth engagement.
  • Justina Asishana, a journalist with The Nation Newspaper, is known for her impactful health and development coverage.
  • Emiene Erameh, a voice for women’s issues through Allwomen Media.

Amplifying Messaging Through Media Partnerships

In collaboration with Nigeria Health Watch, FPNN is ensuring that the conversations and outcomes from NFPC 2024 reach a wider audience. By amplifying the conference’s key messages, FPNN is fostering dialogue and strengthening commitments to family planning initiatives that align with the FP2030 goals.

Building Momentum Toward Bogotá

NFPC 2024 represents an important milestone on the road to Bogotá. The discussions, strategies, and partnerships cultivated here will shape the agenda for ICFP 2025, where global leaders, advocates, and stakeholders will unite to advance reproductive health and rights worldwide.

Stay connected with FPNN for in-depth coverage of NFPC 2024 as we continue to amplify the voices and stories transforming the future of family planning.
